Description
Blind Faith - MOVLP790 double LP limited edition.
Released 2013 on the brilliant 'Music On Vinyl' label.
This example is from my own personal collection. I acquired it upon release 8yrs ago and til 05/12/21 had never played it but i was asked by a potential buyer to inspect it before he paid my initial £70 asking price which as he pointed out that because the outer is resealable it should do no harm. Upon doing so it initally looked fantastic like 99% of my many MOV releases. However after some very close inspecting and a playthrough side one exhibits a patch of audible non fill affecting the first track Had To Cry Today for a couple of minutes on each rotation in the form of a light audible rip in the RH channel. Once past it the record is very quiet and typical of MOV/RI. It was however not something the interested party wanted thus leaving me in a slight quandary!
So having opened it to inspect ive now also been able to double deep clean it in the Degritter for good measure and having playtested can now give a comparison to a more recent Abbey 1/2 speed remaster and for sure this is the more natural sounding LP and deals with the inherently hotter parts of the main recording well with less distortion and is overall a quieter pressing. The second rather unique bonus disc has been Degritter'd too but remains unplayed however there is zero non fill to be seen and i feel bo need to play test it. Both discs are unwarped and bar the aformentioned non fill are excellent pressings.
Checking again on Dcogs this release is proving fairly rare and seems to be increasing in value. Now reduced by 50% and priced to sell based on the fact it has some non fill to detract a little from the side 1 playback.
Thanks for looking!
