Description

An original 1st issue of 'Blind Faith' on the USA Atco label. Matrix 1C/1C. You will remember the original very 1st issue cover...that one, unsurprisingly, courted a lot of controversy immediately. And a 2nd version, which caries the band image that was originally showing on the inside, was made available as a compromise almost immediately. This copy would have been available in the first couple of months of 1st release whilst the Lp 1st charted. The label design is consistent with 1st issue and includes the deep-groove as found on the copies from the time of release. Thee heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover - 60's design with paste-over rear. Also included is an original Atco advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has seen relatively light use. Please be ware that there are a couple of semi-feelable marks on side 2 - which do sound [see details]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with one noticeable deviation. By and large a decent player with good clean audio. There is, however, one big let down and that's in 'Do What You Like'. There's a couple of marks in the second half which do sound. So, expect a good few clicks ticks here and there in the second half of the song. A real shame as the rest of the Lp plays pretty darn well. Weigh it up in the round...it's priced to go. Please note one of the labels has been autographed.
Cover (Ex-) A difficult cover to find in great condition, I'd imagine, considering construction and the colours employed. Most will look pretty shabby by this point in time, but this example is actually preserved very well. The front has escaped the worst of the ageing process just a bit in the odd place, and a small squiggle over toward the spine. The rear is looking much much better than most other copies having mostly avoided the ageing process. Edge wear is very slight and the text looks great with all text legible. Overall the over retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) In decent condition, but there's a one inch split per side.
