Description

For sale is an AS NEW/UNPLAYED copy of Super Session, featuring Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper & Steve Stills.  This Limited Edition Vinyl LP (catalog #1-178) was reissued by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) in 1983 and is OOP.  Cover and inner sleeves are in Near Mint condition. 
Blues-rock was a blossoming genre in 1968 when this super session of Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper and Steve Stills was recorded and released in the same year by Columbia Records.  The album contains two sessions:  session one with Kooper on organ and Bloomfield on guitar; session two with Kooper on organ and Stills on guitar.  Among the selections are an organ-driven "His Holy Modal Majesty" and an energized version of Donovan's "Season of the Witch."
