Blue Cheer- The Beast is Back 1985 US LP Megaforce Records MRI 1069: Interesting comeback release from the original purveyors of heavy rock, released at the apex of the 80s metal movement. This collection of 4 new compositions and 4 re-recordings of early BC standards failed to make the impression that it should have in the crowded metal landscape, driving Dickie Peterson and Paul Whaley back into hiding until they would emerge again at the beginning of the next decade to take another stab at resurrecting the Blue Cheer name. This was however a noteworthy release and an interesting metal-tinged iteration of the band. Both vinyl and outer jacket in excellent condition. VG++/VG++
