Description
BLUE NOTE BLP5011 MILT JACKSON 'Wizard of The Vibes'
This is an early, very collectable 10"LP, by this famous vibraphone player. He is heard here with two groups: one with Lou Donaldson (as), John Lewis (p), Percy Heath (b) and Kenny Clarke (d); the other with Sahib Shibab (as), Thelonius Monk (p), Al McKibbon (b) and Art Blakey (d)*. This is a USA pressing with a deep groove blue/white label with 161 Lexington Ave. NYC address. There is an 'ear' in the run-off area both sides. There is attractive original artwork by Paul Bacon.

DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The disc is E (VG+), with some light scratches, visible under a bright 'grading' light. These have little affect on the playing. The cover is also E (VG+), with no seam splits. There is some edge/surface rubbing and minor corner damage. On the back, there is one small stain, a very small amount of writing (initials in blue ink and a price in pencil), minor damage to the corners of the backsheet, and the remains of a label in the bottom right hand corner. There is a small amount of rubbing on the label both sides. For its age this is in great condition.
