Description

Extremely rare 1970 album on the ultra-collectable Folk Heritage label.

This is FHR 013S by the five piece folk group The Blue Water Folk who perform a mix of traditional British & contemporary folk. The line-up is Geoff Ashton, Ian Grime, Steve Ocock, Alan Waring & Rita Waring.

Tracks are - Banks Of the Roses, Three Jolly Rogues, The Snow Is Falling, Lord Nelson, Curagh Of Kildare, Fair & Tender Ladies, New York Girls, Maid Of Fyfe, Early Morning Rain, Marie's Wedding, Trooper & the Maid, Come Kiss Me Love, Blue Nose, Willie's Gone.

All the output  of the Folk Heritage label is collectable but the early issues, such as this one, when the label was putting out the best of British folk music, are particularly sought after. They were issued in very small quantities and were mainly sold by the band at gigs in small folk clubs - hence their rarity today. I've been told that this particular album is so scarce that not even members of the band have a copy!

This copy is in very nice condition. The cover has a very slight crease on the bottom right corner and the disc is nice & shiny with no noticeable defects.

Happy to ship to any country by standard air mail. If you want recorded/insured air mail this will be charged at cost.
