Description
Bo Diddley's Beach Party. Original 1963 release - Checker LP-2988 high fidelity (mono).
Marshall Chess, who supervised the recording, would later recall being harassed by prejudiced members of the crowd during the recording of the live performance in Myrtle Beach (although I don't believe all ten cuts on the LP were from the actual beach performance).
Disc is VG+. Minimal signs of use. But this was not one of Chess's finest pressing jobs -- there are tiny bubbles visible on the surface of the vinyl, but they do not have a discernible effect on the sound. Cover has some light signs of wear on the edges. My name is written on the back cover and on the label on one side of the disc.
