Description

Both sides of the record have 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address on the labels; 447 West 50th Street address at the bottom of the back cover. Mono, deep groove. The initails "RVG" are inscribed in the dead wax. On Side A, 4 tracks and Side B, 1 track with leader, Bob Brookmeyer, piano, valve trombone; Jimmy Raney, guitar; Teddy Kotick, bass; Mel Lewis, drums. Recorded in 1955. On Side B, 2 tracks with the Teddy Charles Quartet. Leader, Teddy Charles, vibes; Brookmeyer, valve trombone, piano; Kotick, bass; Lewis, drums. Recorded in 1954.

Cover:  VG+  Intact with some writing in the tune schedule on the back cover. 1 mark on the upper margin of the back cover a the top edge at the insert edge. 6 light pencil underlined words in the notes on the back cover. Faint aging on the back cover. Fine, gloss finished front cover.

Record:  Mint(-)  Visually shows no wear.  No markings on the vinyl surface.  Track 1, Side 1 has a faint click near the beginning of the Track and 3 more, isolated, light clicks.  Track 2 has faint groove noise on the first 2 or 3 revolutions in 2 places. Slight groove noise in 2 or 3 places towards the end of the Track. This noise is barely audible. Side 2, Track 1 has a faint click towards the end of the Track. On Track 3, light groove noise on the last revolution.  Fine condition with the very limited noise described. Audibly checked.
