Description
Up for bid is an extremely rare radio station promotional copy of Bob Dylan's legendary album "Blonde On Blonde." This was released by Columbia Records and is cataloged C2L 41 and features white labels on all four sides and the two eye Columbia label.
Both LPs play-grade VG+, though visually they appear VG, with numerous surface marks on all sides. The record was play-graded on a quality turntable with an Ortofon stylus and found not to skip anywhere in the recording. Though the play surface is not visually nice, the playback suffers little and remains a perfectly listenable copy with some light surface noise. The name "Carol" is written in pen on the label of Side 2 of each LP in small letters, about a 12 point font size. Otherwise, the labels are clean and the center holes remain in good shape with no spindle wear. The jacket is conservatively in VG condition due to the splitting spine (as pictured), ring wear and general wear around the edges. Other seams remain intact but show signs of shelf wear. The gate-fold jacket features the withdrawn picture of Claudia Cardinale. There is no writing on the jacket but as pictured, the timing strip and song list sticker has been long peeled from the bottom of the cover. This is an incredibly rare version of arguably one of the best rock albums of all time.
