Bob Dylan: The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan Vintage LP 1968 (1963 original release) Very Good
This album is the 1968 re-release, the "Twin-Eye" STEREO version, of the original 1963 release. Purchased NEW by my older brother (his signature is on the front cover), I had quite an effort in figuring out the release year of this particular album. Early Bob Dylan albums are reflective of the nature of LPs at the time - poorly documented and with both mono and stereo versions, with no release or copyright year to speak of. This is definitely a 1968 release, with evidence on the sleeve of other Columbia album releases. Notably visible in the last photograph is the Simon & Garfunkel album, "Bookends," which was released in 1968. I know it was 1968 and not later, because my older brother left for one of the military academies in 1968 and I was left to take care of his album collection.
Besides being the definitive Bob Dylan album, Freewheelin' is also famous for including Dylan's girlfriend, Suze Rotolo, on the cover, taken by photographer Don Hunstein. She published a book, A Freewheelin' Time: A Memoir of Greenwich Village in the Sixties, where she described her time with Dylan and other folk artists in Greenwich Village.
The album is in Very Good condition - LP, Cover, and Sleeve.
