If you are a Bob Dylan collector, I've got something that you'll just go nuts over. It is a 1969 orange label promo sample album of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits (CBS/Sony SONX 60044). Sorry, no obi, but even without it, it's a really hard record to find. And if it did have the obi, the starting bid would be much higher. Now what's special with this record is that it's basically the same as the U.S. album of the same name, except that this is the only Japanese edition of the album to feature TWO bonus tracks, each placed at the end of each side. The back cover is also unique as it has two very nice portraits of Mr. Zimmerman, one in photo form and the other the Milton Glaser illustration. (A poster of the illustration was included in early North American editions.) Apparently, this copy had an insert, but unfortunately, this copy is missing it, but it didn't have anything of true relevance: just the Milton Glaser illustration on the front and a discography on the back. (The illustration may have been in black & white.) The inside cover has a black & white photo of Mr. Zimmerman on stage, as well as the lyrics to all twelve songs. Unfortunately, the lyrics are printed in Japanese only. But it's never too late to learn! The jacket itself has hardly any signs of age, no seam splits, no writing, no mold, no spots, no stains...it's all good. The record itself has only minimal surface noise, a small spindle mark and a couple of scuff marks on side 1 and just a few barely noticeable scratches on side 2. Still, since it's a sample copy, this may the best copy you find! Good luck finding another copy.
