Description
An original 1st press of Planet Waves on the UK Island label from 1974. Matrix 1/1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robor cover with pinched spine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A very very fine player with little to find fault with. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. The only deviation is in the uptempo version of 'Forever Young'. I detected a brief [non-repeating] skip in the first section. Thankfully, it is one of those skips where you have to concentrate to make it out..If you're not - you'd probably miss it all together [i.e. not as noticeable as they can be]. Another great album from Dylan, and in my opinion a bit under-rated. If you can handle that one issue..the rest of the LP will knock-you-out..
Cover (Vg+) Remains in very nice condition with just some light ageing just creeping in around the edges. A couple of creases on the front, but nothing more than a touch of lightest handling on the rear. Edge wear is light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is pretty much entirely intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
