Description

Bob Dylan & The Band "The Basement Tapes"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Columbia C2-33682  from 1975.    It's a double album.     Dylan wrote all of these songs after his motorcycle accident.       These were the first songs that he put on tape at the Band's home at Big Pink in 1969.    The music was done by Bob Dylan with help from members of The Band.     It was not released until 1975.     Many of these songs have been covered by other artists.     This album is so good that it is hard to find mint.      Here is a mint copy still in the shrink wrap.

Overall Condition is : Cover is M /  Record is M/M

The cover is Mint with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits.   It's still in the original shrink wrap.    There is sticker on the shrink wrap that lists all of the songs.     The vinyls look mint and they play mint.    The labels are perfect with no spindle marks.  The records come in a plain white inner sleeves.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.    One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard.   The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard.   Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 13 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office changes.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 29 ounces ( 1 pound, 13 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and a email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.   I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number.   ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.

Serious Bidders Only :

Serious bidders only.    If you bid you must be prepared to honor your bid.     I expect payment within three days, but will gladly wait up to seven days, if you contact me.      I no longer accept bids from buyers with more than two strikes against them.
