Description

Bob Dylan, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, 1963 Columbia Records CL 1986 Mono LP

Released in 1963, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan is one of the most important albums in the history of American folk music and the record that transformed Dylan from a Greenwich Village performer into a cultural voice of a generation.

The iconic cover photograph, taken on Jones Street in New York City with Suze Rotolo, became one of the most recognizable images in music history. Inside the grooves are songs that helped define the 1960s folk movement and protest era.

This album includes several of Dylan’s most influential early compositions including Blowin’ in the Wind, Girl From the North Country, Masters of War, Don’t Think Twice It’s All Right, and A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall.

Original Columbia red label 360 Sound MONO pressing with catalog number CL 1986. Early pressings of this album remain highly collectible because of their historical significance and the power of Dylan’s songwriting during this formative period.

Vinyl shows strong gloss with visible surface marks consistent with age and handling. Jacket shows heavy edge wear, corner wear, and fraying along the seams as shown in photos.
