Incredible condition rare copy of Bob Dylan's awesome 1963 debut LP.
This is the mono US issue. The mono Columbia records from the 1950s & 60s were incredible pressings, nothing like later US pressings. This one is a 1965 pressing, it features the 2 'eye' logos and the wording <- 360 Sound MONO 360 Sound ->.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: XLP-55619-1E Side 2: XLP-55620-1AB
The condition of this LP is what makes it so incredibly rare. Viewed under strong bright spotlighting the vinyl has only the very feintest signs of paper scuffs: tiny surface wear from removing from the inner sleeve, and very few very light spindle marks, but play-graded this album is without compare! It plays from beginning to end with no noise, no distortion, no pops, no background noise, it is an incredibly dynamic, real, in the room and emotive listen. The US pressings of this album are the best in my opinion. Hear the emotion in Bob's voice like you never have before. The power and dynamics, the anguish and pain, it's all there.
The cover is certainly VG++. It's a very old album, there is some slight ring wear and the edges are a little worn but the cover is not creased, strong and solid. You'd have to search very hard to find a better copy of this amazing album. In 30+ years of looking this is the best condition one I have come across.
This album, as with all my records, is carefully cleaned and vacuum dried on a Loricraft record cleaning machine using L'Art du Son record cleaning fluid. It is then placed in a new poly-lined anti-static inner sleeve and play-tested on a state-of-the-art record playing system. It may play significantly better than I have graded it on a lower resolution system.
To protect the LP in transit it will be packed in a new cruciform LP mailer with stiffening card inserts. The LP and inner sleeve will be packed outside of the cover to protect against seam splits during transit. Unless requested otherwise I will send all records by 2nd class recorded delivery which has limited insurance.
