Released in 1992 by Island Records with the catalogue number TGLBX 1, pressed on the Tuff Gong label. There are 8 vinyl LP's housed in four separate and different sleeves. The records are Jamaican pressings, there was no other pressings of the vinyl for this collection. The records come in clear plastic sleeves which is how it came originally.........I will send them in these sleeves, obviously if you wish to replace them with paper sleeves that will be up to you after purchase. Also included in the package is a beautifully illustrated 64 page booklet. I am grading the whole set as NM. The outer box has no bends or tears or bashes or splits and as is as near mint as is possible. The booklet has no bends or creases and is graded NM. The inner picture sleeves are not heavyweight card as in a European or USA record, but all are in NM condition with no tears or seam splits, being ultra picky, there is a little bend on the sleeve of record one, but really negligible, and a tiny bend at the bottom of record three sleeve. The records are all graded as NM............Please be aware, for those not familiar with Jamaican pressed records, the vinyl is never as good as records pressed in Europe or the USA. None of the vinyl has any scratches or marks, there are minor scuff marks on one or two sides but all surface caused by the rubbish plastic sleeves. One or two of the labels are creased from the pressing, some have Tuff Gong printed at the top of the label a few have the name missing but just the star symbol, again typical Jamaican anomalies. The labels are all clean and mark free. PLEASE NOTE.............As this is an expensive item I have taken a long time and a great deal of care to visually inspect and to listen carefully to the records to spot any faults. There are four faults........... On the track " Mr Brown" there is a small scratch for the first half of the track producing clicks, no jumps or skips. On " One Cup Of Coffee" there is a click for a few revolutions. On " Lively Up Yourself" there is a scratch causing clicks for just three revolutions. On " Waiting In Vain" there is a pressing fault causing quite a bad click for thirteen ( 13 ) revolutions toward the end of the track. The rest of the records play fine but again please be aware that this IS a Jamaican pressing so there will be the odd bit of surface noise and the odd crackle or two. Also a lot of these recordings are from the sixties and so will be of lesser quality than later recordings. As this is a very heavy item and the box is delicate, I can only ship to the UK............If you live outside the UK please be aware that the cost will be a lot higher, and that as hard as I might try to package the box carefully I cannot guarantee it will be as good when it gets to you as it will be when it leaves me. I have been very honest with you, but even with these little faults I am still grading the whole package as NM and cannot sell it cheaply, other copies have sold for as much as $500 in just 2015.
