Description

An original 1st issue of Exodus on UK Island - from later in the chart run. Matrix A3/B2. This record is pressed with blue labels. Island changed their label design as this title charted. What we have here is a 1st issue [2nd label] from later in the charting period - late summer 1977. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with embossing. We also have the original inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition having seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A few minor crackles in a couple of brief moments . These sections are notoriously difficult to find playing perfectly clean. This is Marley at the top of his game and should be in everyone's collection - regardless.
Cover (Vg+) This is the original 1st issue with embossed text and iconography. Nice clean front with some light handling as is difficult to avoid entirely. A touch of slight handing on the rear. A bit of edge wear in places - nothing epic. Text on spine is 95% legible with slight wear.. The cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Slight fingerprint grubbiness as is difficult to avoid. No splits.
