An Australian Original press on the GO label catalog GLP 3001 and made in Australia 196
Comments:
Dynamic vocal duo Bobby & Laurie was one of the leading acts in the first wave of Australian 'beat pop' 1964-67. They cut a series of fine recordings which rank alongside those of Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs, Ray Brown & The Whispers, The Easybeats, Normie Rowe and MPD Ltd as milestones of Australian pop in the mid-60s. This is a signed copy of Bobby and Laurie's first album. Bobby's signature is still clear but Laurie's signature is partly rubbed off over the years. ( I checked these signatures against a previous EBay sale back in 2016 listed on Popsike.com of another signed copy of this album and believe signatures match).
Condition:
Record: VG+
Side one of this record is clean except for a few light scuff marks that do not have an effect on the sound. Side two is clean except for a couple of light hair lines and some light scuff marks that also do not effect the sound. I have played the whole record through and it plays very well with no background noise.
Sleeve: VG
This record cover is clean except for the two signatures and the obvious front cover tear and repair. There is also a little piece missing from the back cover. Please see photos for greater details.
