Auction is for one hard to find Bobby Darin's 78 rpm record made in India. Everything you see / hear here is taken from the actual record.

I don't have any 78 rpm player. So i have recorded a sound clip on a 33 / 45 rpm TT by increasing the speed by hand. There may be speed variations due to manual rotation (sometimes more or sometimes less than 78 rpm). I seldom list any record without sound clip because a sound clip is the best way to describe the condition of Indian records (all sizes and speeds) where tropical weather and worn out styli is a big problem.

Please note it is raw clip from record and no sound editing / noise or click removal software is used. Format is mp3 - 192 Kbps recorded with tone controls (Bass / Treble) set at twelve o clock position - mid level. If you face any problem, please let me know. System used is JVC QL-F61 turntable and Pioneer VSX452 integrated amp. Records are conservatively graded and goldmine grading is used to grade the records. But i suggest you to listen the sample clip from record as it will give you the accurate idea about the condition of record on play basis.

Condition of Record and Sleeve

By visual inspection -

Overall condition of this record is Good. There are no scratches (that can be felt by finger) but there are several scuffs / marks on both sides

By listening -

Record plays better than its visual condition due to quality pressing. Plays with background noise which is the result of pressing and / or marks on record due to friction with sleeve. Level of noise is much lower than the audio level. Noise is also due to the stylus used.(i have used a 33/45 rpm stylus which is too thin for 78 rpms and it will track down to the bottom of grooves where dust resides).

Got this one in an original HMV sleeve. Don't know whether it is original original sleeve or previous owner changed with this one. Will provide same sleeve with record. Sleeve is in Good condition.

Shipping £ 10 worldwide by registered airmail. It is a secure shipping method and signature of receiver is required. Dont worry about packing. I have shipped 100s of 78 rpm to every corner of the world. For extra 78 Rpm, it is £4 per record.

Full refund (including shipping) will be given against loss / damage / dissatisfaction with quality of record.

Delivery time by registered airmail takes 7 Days to 4 weeks in 95% cases. Normally 80 % foreign destined items reach within 14 days to respective countries. Shipping duration is not country dependent, for example sometimes items reach within 4 days to same country and sometimes they take up to 28 days to same country. However some countries have good shipping time than others. For USA and most of the european and asian countries, shipping time is 7 to 14 days in 80% cases and less than 20 days in 90% cases. But for countries like Italy / Brazil / Israel / Indonesia where custom procedure is slow, shipping time is 7 to 14 days in 50% cases, less than 20 days in 70% cases and less than 25 days in 95 % cases.

Shipping by DHL is also available and delivery time is very fast - 3 to 7 days in most of the countries but is expensive (starts from £ 15 for 3 LPs or two 78 rpms). DHL is economical if there are several items and weight is over 1 Kg.
