Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: The Magic Flute

Karl Böhm conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

With Lear, Otto, Peters, Crass, Hotter, Fischer-Dieskau and others.

German DGG stereo-pressing from the 60s with big tulip "Made in Germany" labels.

Article-no. SLPM 138 981/ 83.

3LP box with extensive booklet and additional subscription advertisement for 1966.

Before I recently found out that copies of this recording with “Alle Hersteller” labels exist, I would have claimed that this is a 1st pressing:

Subscription timeline on the flyer ended om January 1966, all of the innersleeves still have the mid-60s imprint, no Grand Prix stickers yet.

Obviously still a very early pressing of this seminal recording!

• Condition Box: Strong EX. Massive cardboard box with minmal wear. very light staining on back.

• Condition Vinyl: NM. Maybe played once or twice. Surfaces are perfectly preserved.

• Condition Booklet: EX to NM. Light shelf wear.

- Most LPs receive new antistatic innersleeves (in addition to the original ones, which of course are also provided). I, however, don't add new sleeves, if the original ones seem fitting.

A note about my record-grading:

I usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage), if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of record-cleaning.

My goal is to always decribe the records appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter exception!
