Description
Here's a 1941 Andrews Sisters 78 on Decca label # 3598.I actually have up another copy of this 78 at this time. This one has more wear on the grooves but seems to play better than the other one.The other one is nicer visually.Songs are titled Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy on one side and has Bounce Me Brother With A Solid Fpour on the other side. The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy side has seven light non feelable scratches and four feelable scratches.Side also has multiple scuffs including 3 feelable scuffs.Has pretty noticeable wear on the grooves.Has multiple passages with some graying on grooves. You can see the groove are not all gray as there is still black and darker colored grooves mixed in with the gray.Side actually played ptretty well.I counted a total of 5 ticks and 2 pops throughout song.Song was enjoyayable and played with a light background hiss with treble adjusted low.The Bounce Me Brother With A Solid Four side has nine light non feelable scratches and two small feelable scratches. Also has multiple scuffs with four feelable scuffs. You can see two of the feelable scuffs are kind of ugly small scuffs near the bottom near 6 O' Clock area of record.Side also has groove wear with some graying but still has a decent amount of black mixed in as well. When I play tested this side I counted approximately 10 or so ticks and five pops.A few pops are noisy but other three are light pops. That one scuff near 6 O' Clock area causes a swoosh/crackle noise for approximately 7 to 9 revolutions but plays right through with no problems.Even with the ticks and pops song was enjoyable. Also played with a light background hiss with treble adjusted low.
