Description
I'm selling my vinyl copy (Double LP) of "Pink" by Boris, which I purchased directly from Boris on their 2007 tour. This was a limited edition reissue (1000 for this color) pressed, as usual from Southern Lord (sunn55), on 180 gram vinyl. My copy is a beautiful mostly opaque Red color, which looks heavenly alongside the pink packaging and labels (see photos). The actual vinyl are in excellent condition with no skipping or major scratches... it plays perfectly well and was mastered splendidly for vinyl; it seriously sounds so much better than the CD does (yes, I've owned both). The cover is in VG condition. The main artwork is preserved, and the matte finish is really pleasing to the fingertips. However, there is some seam-slitting at the top. On one side, a small piece of clear tape was applied to remedy this. There's a few other signs of mild wear on corners. While the external spine looks good, there's a bit of distortion around the internal spine that appears to be purely aesthetic in nature... I seem to remember this being the case from as soon as I bought it new. The gatefold hinge still opens and closes easily and the records still fit in their sleeves securely. On the back cover, there are a few minor scuffs/stains of unknown origin but most the art is preserved. Sadly, I somehow lost the included "acid blotter paper" insert (which I believe was a rendition of Blake's "Red Dragon") even before I escaped the venue I saw them in! I'm still bitter about that 14 years later, but it is what it is. All in all, this is a great record that will sound amazing on your turntable and look pretty in your collection.
