(Beautiful rock steady-cut of this total pop-music-classic...Norma Frazer / Frazier ina rocking mood at Studio One...surely one of her best-remembered and most-impressive performances...Clement Dodd-production...comes as original press on the Coxsone-imprint from JA...music from around 1967 (as seen on UK Coxsone-release CS 7017)...pressing is early 70s...but NO overdubs on this release...the real authentic stuff...please note that the matrix of the B-side is a "printed" one like on UK-releases...anyway...w-w-w-w-wicked sounds...as I&I'd say...watch out...and watch out for my other reggae-items...soundfile on request...just send in your email-address!!!)

(Another great rock steady tune (still at the edge of ska) by the rarely recorded Bumps Oakley...who made less than a handful of 7" for Coxsone and than seem to have disappeared...this once again is a pop-music make-over resting firm on the planks of the Four Seasons' hitsounds...UK-release on blue Coxsone was "Rag Doll"...nuff respek to Studio One...nuff nuff respek to the foundation artists!)

WAX'N'SOUND:  vg+/vg, both sides show light general wear, has some marks and light surface scratches, shiny wax, plays sweet w/ excellent punch + clear sound, there's some crackle to be expected, more on the B-side and a bit of light surface noise! 

LABEL: shows general wear, NO writings/markings, light damages to B-side only - watch the scan, please!

 Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often).

Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being).   THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE:   EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...) P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
