Talking about Albert Spalding, his recordings of the Concertos of Beethoven and Brahms are very good performances of a violinist at the end of his career.
Michele Auclair playing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, Op. 35, has all the strong intentions and passion of a young violinist, educated in the Russian School. Her recital recordings are just wonderful, have the same intensity plus the strength and refinement she displays very well, accompanied by veteran pianist Otto Schulhof.
