Brian Jones Presents the Pipes Of Pan at JouJouka 12+ promo extras! AMAZING, FAT PRESS KIT! Rolling Stones Records Coc 49100 This is not JUST the rare promotional debut Brian Jones album for the Rolling Stones new label, it also has LOADS of extras that I've never seen offered before. In addition to the "insert" sheet that traditionally accompanied copies of this album, I'm including a full, PACKED press kit that includes (1) an Atlantic Rolling Stones custom Brian Jones folder, (2) an official B&W Brian Jones Rolling Stones Records publicity photo, (3) FIVE more B&W photographs of the Maalmin of Joujouka, (4) a SIX page information packet on PRIMITIVE Rolling Stone letterhead ... with a red tongue, but handwritten "T.M." and handwritten Rolling Stones Records address at the bottom... including their actual PHONE number! These pages are all offset printed, the handwriting was done on the original, which was not typeset. This is EARLY promotional material for this label, before they had professional typesetting done! The title page to this item reads "The following information was compiled by Brion Gysin and Rolling Stones Records to stimulate a more thorough understanding of our product." The segments included in this packet are "WHAT IS JOUJOUKA", "WHO ARE THE PIPES OF PAN?" "WHERE AND WHEN DID BRIAN JONES COME ACROSS THE PIPES OF PAN?" "WHY DID BRIAN JONES RECORD THE PIPES OF PAN?" "WHAT WAS BRIAN'S PART IN MAKING THE JOUJOUKA ALBUM?" "WHAT IS THE MUSICAL CONTENT OF THE JOUJOUKA ALBUM?", and finally "WHY ARE ROLLING STONES RECORDS RELEASING THE JOUJOUKA ALBUM?" Wait, there's more. (5) Here's a fold open article that has the logo for Rolling Stone magazine at it's end. It represents SIX pages of article on a heavy thick paper. There are 4 pictures in this article. The article is titled JaJouka/Up The Mountain, by Bob Palmer. And Last, but not least, there is (6) a 19 page booklet titled THE FOUR THOUSAND YEAR OLD ROCK & ROLL BAND; A MEMORY EXPERIENCED. (Morocco was a celestial dream come true) by none other than TIMOTHY LEARY! Oh wait, lets add (7) the original PROMOTIONAL white label ALBUM with it's original promo sticker rubber stamp dated "october 28, 1971". (the same date is rubber stamped inside the Press Kit custom Brian Jones Folder! ) Oh yes.. and (8) that insert that was issued with the commercial copies, with the abbreviated article on Joujouka written by ... Brion Gyson! All told, this offering has more than a DOZEN items. It's truly the holy grail of press pieces in the early incarnation of Rolling Stones Records. It was Brian Jones' swansong, yet it mothered an empire. The overall condition is exquisite. Unplayed M- record, a cover that is in similar condition, and unfolded, unwritten on press information and photos that amazingly stayed together and intact all these years. I doubt this will surface again in my lifetime. Maybe you can own this in yours. Here's your chance. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS. IT WILL BE SOLD. To those about to bid, I salute you! PRIORITY POSTAGE USA $5, UK $10, JAPAN $12 I can mail up to 2 albums for this price.
