Description
You are bidding on an amazing original FMP German pressing of Schwarzwaldfahrt, by Peter Brotzmann & Hanz Bennink both musicians playing multiple reeds, viola, banjo, cymbals, wood, trees, sand, land, water, air....
This is a live LP in the since that they both went out into the German forest and recorded live as they moved through the landscape. A true experiment if there was one. I love the whole concept behind these recordings. They are like field recordings. Well, they ARE field recordings actually. Damn fine ones at that.
Both the amazingly well designed jacket, and the LP are both in NM/NM condition....
Dating from 1977, these were the pioneers of the german avant-garde. In fact the drummer, Hanz Bennink plays drums on the Eric Dolphy LP/CD Last Date on Fontana. That was in 1964. He is a rock. A very versatile and inventive drummer/percussionist and has made his name go down in history in his own lifetime. Good work, Bennink.

Let me just say this about that. FMP (Free Music Production) records are NOT easy to come by. They are almost NEVER found cheaply priced either. If you know the name Brotzmann, you know your going to get the highest calibre in German free jazz. This has always been a favorite of mine personally. I would go on further to recommend three more of his 1970's releases. Machine Gun, Nipples, and Balls. All are on FMP.....

I remove LPs from jacket and pack the jacket and LP in a LP outer sleeve protector, pack securely in custom LP shipping box with added protection on both sides. I've been doing this a long time and it is my priority to get you your LP fast and safe.
