GRADING GUIDE (Based on Goldmine Standard)


SS (Still Sealed) Never opened. Still in shrinkwrap.

NM (Near Mint) Little (barely visible) to no signs of wear.

VG++ (Excellent) Very clean used vinyl. There are normal wear signs that it has been played. There can be a hairline scratch or two that will not affect play. Rainbow patina still apparent. Cover may have minor disc impression or slight corner creases, no seam splits or writing on cover. Artwork is clean and unworn.

VG+ ( Very Good Plus) Vinyl may have some visible surface wear, very minor scratches & scuffs. Vinyl will still have good luster. Label may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials,etc.) but otherwise clean. Small edge tears or creases on cover, maybe some minor writing on cover.

VG (Very Good) Played often with moderate surface wear - noticeable scratches and scuffs, somewhat dull vinyl. Labels may have larger writing, small tears or tape marks. There may be noticeable spindle wear. Cover may have medium overall wear or some ring wear. May exhibit minor seam splits or repairs with clear tape.

VG- ( Very Good Minus) Overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages. Cover has wear, usually with considerable ring wear. Split covers. Stickers. Possible Writing Could use a good cleaning.

G (Good) – Lots of wear, but still playable. The most confusing grade! Good really does not mean good. It is actually quite poor condition. Cover may have tears, creases, writing, warpage, or other damage.

WBR (Wrecked But Rare) – Otherwise known as a Starter Copy. Not cracked, but a starter copy.
