Description

     This is an in-store display from 1978 for Bruce Springsteen's LP "Darkness On The Edge Of  Town." It is relatively large, measuring 17 1/2" by 24." This is NOT a poster! This display is made of approx. 1/16" hard paperboard.

     The display has an "easel back," which is supposed to open and hold the display so that it can be placed on a flat surface such as a table.The "easel back" appears to have never been opened, which is why I refer to this display as "new." In the attached images, I have shown the easel back on the rear of the display. As I mentioned, it appears to have never been opened and I did not try to pull it out away from the display to inspect it.
     I believe that this display had been stored somewhere since 1978 and never used. However, there are a few "rub marks" that may have been the result of moving it around several rimes during the past 40 years. I have attached two images showing several "rub marks.'
     It has been 40 years since "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" has been released and this poster is witness to that. Notice that, at the bottom of the display" how Columbia Records indicates that the LP is available "...on Records, Cassettes and 8-Tracks!"

     I have looked for several months on Ebay for similar Bruce Springsteen displays, but I have not seen one that goes back this far in Bruce's career.  

     This auction/Buy It Now sale is for the display only, no records, cassettes or 8-Tracks!!!
