Description

This is a Limited Edition Picture Disc with original die-cut sleeve.  The vinyl disc is in its original clear PVC inner sleeve.  There is a two-sided 12" x 12" card stock insert with the song lyrics.
Label:  Columbia Records.  Release date: 1978.  Pic Disc, a division of Fitzgerald Hartley Co.
There is no catalog # on the sleeve or disc, so the Matrix Runout numbers are provided. PBL-35318-2AD / PAL-35318-1AJ.  The number 35318 is printed on a lower corner of the lyric sheet.

This rare promotional picture disc only had 2 pressings of 2000 each.  It was used by Columbia Records to promote the 1978 release of Bruce Springsteen's album "Darkness on the Edge of Town".   The Seller is the original owner, and acquired it when working as a record store manager at the time.  
It has been securely boxed in an upright position and stored in a smoke free environment.  The cover is in VG+ condition.  It has the original shrink wrap, that has been opened.  There is some minor discoloration on the open corners of the white sleeve.  The vinyl has never been played.  It was visually inspected, and appeared to be in near mint condition. 

Note: Picture discs consist of a solid core that has a paper image placed over it. The core and photo are then covered with clear vinyl and the grooves are pressed on top of them using traditional record presses. The manufacturing process uses less vinyl in the grooves than standard records, and often yields less-than-optimal sound quality. Most picture discs are produced as limited edition products, generally targeted at collectors.
