Description
SUPER RARE mid-80s Brazilian various artists EP titled 'Four Super Rock' (played at 33 1/3rpm) featuring Kenny Loggins 'Footloose', Ozzy Osbourne's 'So Tired', Quiet Riot's 'Cum on Feel The Noize' and Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing In The Dark' (Catalogue Reference: CBS 56.815). Needless to say this isn't going to be easy to find outside of South American and this copy is in solid EXCELLENT condition. The 45 is placed directly into the card sleeve (i.e. without a further paper sleeve to protect it) and it is thus surprising that this is an easy EXCELLENT grading. I've also played the Osbourne/Springsteen side to check the quality and it plays really well. Under an intense light limited hairline scratches are visible (as a result of the vinyl's withdrawal from the card sleeve) but there are no marks of any substance. The sleeve has clearly not been handled much (there are no bends or tears) and is graded as being in EXCELLENT+ condition (more condition details below).
Tracklisting Side One:
Footloose (Kenny Loggins)
Cum On Feel The Noize (Quiet Riot)
Tracklisting Side Two:
Dancing In The Dark (Bruce Springsteen)
So Tired (Ozzy Osbourne)
Condition
E.P. Cover
The cover is graded as being in EXCELLENT+. It is a largely a plain white sleeve (particularly on the rear) which is susceptible to dirt and thus it is miraculous that it is largely still white and not that grubby. Each of the corners has received a light knock. Under an intense light there are suggestions of bends in the top right-hand and bottom right-hand corners (but not fully fledged bends I might add). On the rear alongside an embossed, gold CBS label there are some impressions of writing (which again are probably only visible under an intense light). This is a really great example and it is hard to tell that it is nearly 30 years old!
Vinyl
The vinyl is a solid EXCELLENT grading. Limited hairline scratches are visible under an intense light particularly near the edges where the vinyl connects with the card sleeve but there are no marks of any substance. This copy has clearly been played but having played the second side myself this copy still sounds great. I would guess it is highly questionable that you'll find a superior copy!
Concluding Remarks
A really solid copy and it is unlikely you'd feel a need to upgrade. Please check my other auctions for further rare items in similarly immaculate condition including a Spanish, textured sleeve 45 of Springsteen's 'Dancing In The Dark' from the same source. Save me as a Favourite Seller because there is plenty more good stuff where this came from
General Terms etc.
I endeavour to be accurate with all my grading. All items are graded under an intense light. I have been a collector for in excess of 15 years and I would describe myself as being conservative (I think my feed-back speaks for itself in this respect)! If you are not entirely happy with your purchase then contact me.
Payment is possible via Pay Pal and Personal Cheque. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end unless otherwise agreed. Multiple purchases will be subject to reduced postage costs. Please contact me at the end of the auctions to confirm these costs. Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss postage in advance of the auction’s end.
Overseas buyers are welcome. You don’t need to email me. So long as you can pay me efficiently (i.e. Pay Pal) and I can get the item to you then that is good enough for me. However, if you want me to investigate postage costs overseas in advance of auction end then let me know!
