Description
This auction is for the Brunswick 78 RPM record 80094 featuring Uncle Dave Macon and his Fruit Jar Drinkers performing Sail Away, Ladies on side B and the Crockett Family performing Sourwood Mountain, Sally in the Garden and Sally Goodin on side A, as pictured.
Condition: I have not tried to play or clean this record, and I am not familiar with standard record grading, so I will do my best to describe it. The labels are intact. There are no breaks, cracks or chips. The grooves are in much better shape than on most of my other 78s. I have included a close-up photo of the worst scratch on each side to help you judge the condition for yourself.
I am not a record dealer or a record collector. In the 1970s and 1980s I used to pick through stacks of 78s at flea markets and antique shops looking for anything interesting in the blues, bluegrass, old time, folk, jazz and fiddle genres. Now I've decided that it's time to get rid of the ones I still have. (The best one that I stumbled on was a Blind Willie McTell, but that's long gone.) The ones that don't sell will be trashed, so if you see some that you are interested in that don't sell, contact me.
Shipping: I am a careful and thorough packer, and I have successfully shipped 78s in the past, but I welcome suggestions to help ensure safe delivery. I will be listing more 78s, and I am glad to combine shipping if you buy more than one.
