Description

The late great legendary country musician,  Alvis Edgar "Buck" Owens Jr. had over 20 number 1 hit records.  The one on offer in this listing is definitely one of them.  It reached number one in the Country Music Billboard charts in 1964 and is considered one of his most enduring and influential records. 

This listing is for the very rare 1st Japanese Stereo pressing of 'Together Again/My Heart Skips A Beat' (CP-7173) on red vinyl.  It is by far the best sounding version of this classic I've ever heard. The fact that it is in stereo makes it even rarer as the mono pressing was far more prevalent during this time. The audio is clear, warm, bold, and detailed. Barely any surface noise was heard and this is quite remarkable for a 54 year old vintage record. 

Cover: Excellent.....the single-sleeved glossy jacket is in exceptional condition considering its age.  The scalloped flipbacks to the rear are in near-perfect condition and display no deterioration.  The thin spine is solid and undamaged. There is a barely noticeable start of a 1" seam split to the top edge and only some normal age discoloration is visible to some areas.

Original Inner-Sleeve: Excellent....beautifully maintained and amazingly, without any splits!

Record: Near Mint(-) .....this heavyweight crimson-colored record is truly in outstanding condition. There is virtually no loss to the shine;  which speaks to the fact that this record has hardly been played over 5 decades. Both labels are near-perfect and retain the lovely rainbow colored pattern.  Absolutely superb, clear and detailed audio throughout.  I doubt there is a better sounding copy of this pressing out there.
