Description

Here is a HIGHLY DESIRABLE, HARD-TO-FIND, and LEGENDARY OUT-OF-PRINT LP, hands down! It’s the first and only LP by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks who later went on to join Fleetwood Mac.

It has truly become a LANDMARK LP now more than 45 years old that launched the careers of two exceptional recording artists. In fact, this LP is so iconic that it was pictured in the CNN documentary series, “The Seventies”, on TV!

In this auction:

  • BUCKINGHAM NICKS” self-titled first & only LP by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks

  • Both later went on to join Fleetwood Mac.

  • This is Polydor PD 5058.

  • This LP was released September 5, 1973.

  • Inside the GATEFOLD COVER are printed the song lyrics.

  • This is the ORIGINAL 1973 FIRST PRESSINGLP WITH THE GATEFOLD COVER. (The later second pressing re-release in 1975 did NOT have the gatefold cover and did NOT have the printed lyrics.)

  • Both this original 1973 1st pressing and the 1975 2nd pressing are really hard to come by in nice condition these days. This LP has never been reissued after its 1975 2nd pressing.

  • This is an EXCELLENT LP in terms of content and contains 10 great cuts including “Don’t Let Me Down Again”, “Long Distance Winner”, “Crying in the Night”, “Without a Leg to Stand On”, “Races Are Run”, “Crystal” (a Stevie Nicks’ song long sought after by fans), and “Frozen Love”.

  • The LP has a great line up of cuts you can only hear by listening to the LP because the LP is WAY OUT OF PRINT and contains GREAT material from the team-up of Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

  • The GATEFOLD COVER is GRADED VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION. Only the ½ -inch saw cut near the lower right corner kept me from grading the cover Near Mint. There is NO WEAR on the front and rear covers, on the spine and seams, or on the corners.

  • The GATEFOLD COVER is nice and tight. As you can see in the image inside the gatefold of the lyrics, the cover does not lie flat when opened which indicates that it hasn’t been opened much at all.

  • As you probably know, the dark front slick/image was prone to easily show wear over a short time of rubbing against other LP covers. But, as you can see, this one has no wear at all. Check out the images and you will see just how NICE and CLEAN this cover is!!!

  • The VINYL is NEAR MINT with just some very light/slight surface hairlines scuffs.

  • The LABELS ARE NICE & CLEAN!!

  • The Original Polydor Inner Paper Sleeve (with no splits) is also included.

Whether it’s the Original 1973 First Pressing (like the LP in this auction) or the 1975 Second Pressing, BOTH PRESSINGS of this LP have become REALLY HARD-TO-FIND these days especially in this VERY NICE CONDITION!

It’s nothing less than a LEGENDARY LP deserves a place in your vinyl collection, so don’t pass it by!

FYI, I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
