Description
Bud Powell Jazz Giant Verve MGV-8153 mono LP. Original deep groove pressing with silver and black trumpeter labels.
Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light
The cover is a very strong VG. The David Stone Matin front cover graphics are beautiful, subtle and striking. The upper left and lower right corners show some wear, rounding, and dinging. The upper left corner has a spot of wear and the spine is split/cracked about 4 1/2 inches which is the reason for a downgrade from VG+. All printing on the spine is legible. The printing on the spine is sharp and clear. has some light surface wear, soiling, and staining, a tape mark, a name in pencil and a price in pen. The back cover slick has some light surface wear with a stap on top. A very pretty cover despite the flaws.
LP is a very strong glossy VG with light sleeve wear, hairlines, and scuffs, nothing feelable or serious on either side. The marks do not cover the record but there are more than a few, not quite VG+ but close. Labels are beautiful with some light marks on each side A visible under angled light, side B is clean. A decent example of this rare Verve LP.
Overall not perfect or NM but a decent collectable copy of a rare jazz LP. This copy should make some collector very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Grading
Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.
Packaging
LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.
Terms and Payment
Low starting price and no reserve. Three day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arrangements are made before end of auction.
Shipping and Insurance
I don't profit from shipping charges. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.
US
$3.77 for Media mail with delivery confirmation. Media mail can take 2-3 weeks. Priority mail is 7.00 with free delivery confirmation in US. Winning auctions may be combined to save postage cost. Cost will be calculated at invoice time. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.
International
Shipping methods are First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Packages over four pounds must ship Priority. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy
I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP. No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
