Description
The record has 47 West 63rd NYC address on both sides; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove on both sides. The record has "RVG" and the "ear" inscribed in the dead was on both sides. 7 tracks recorded in 1951 that also include Curly Russell, bass and Max Roach, drums. 4 tracks that also include Fats Navarro, trumpet; Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Tommy Potter, bass; Roy Haynes, drums and 1 track with Potter, bass and Haynes, drums recorded in 1949. Some of the tracks referred to are different Takes and Alternate Masters.
Cover: Good 5" split on the bottom and top edge. Some general edge wear. Light aging on the back c over. Small mark to 6 tunes list in the tune schedule on the back cover. Tiny tear on the front cover.
Record: VG+ Visually shows very light wear with several light surface rub marks on both sides. There is some groove noise and light crackling through the first 2 tracks on Side 1. Also, a few clicks and crackles on Track 6, Side 1. On Side 2 there are a few clicks and crackles on Track 1. Also, a very few isolated additional clicks on the balance of Side 2. Overall, good sound with the surface conditions detailed. Audiby checked.
