Description

RARE LP - BUDDY HOLLY'S 1st RECORD

ORIGINAL VERSION OF "THAT'LL BE THE DAY"

DECCA HIGH FIDELITY MICROGROOVE RECORD

Bonus record - 45/ picture sleeve free w/ winning bid

Condition Is As Follows:

Front Cover is A strong VG with a little bit of scuffing - a couple of creases and a little bit of a tear after the word "Be" on the cover - the letter "A" is stamped in blue, just above the "Th" in the word "That" supersize the photo to see the flaws - they are relatively minor and the cover displays very well - the colors are vivid.

Back Cover is a strong VG+ with the only real flaw being the letter "A" stamped near the top right.  The other albums listed all have lower numbers than this record & they're pretty cool, too.  2 by Bill Halley and his comets, 1 by Patsy Cline and 1 by Bobby Helms and one by Billy Ward and the Dominoes.

Seams:  Top seam has a 2" tape repair on the top right (viewed from the front) and the bottom seam has a 1/4" at the right side opening.

Spine:  Very nice condition - see the photo - just a small bit of tape right near the bottom on the word "Decca" and a little scuffing on the top - no splits.

Record is VG with light but visible surface scratches that cannot be felt but do create surface noise.  Even though, the fidelity is rich and sharp - especially the guitars.  There are no skips - guaranteed.

Labels are VG++

Overall, this is a decent copy of a very rare record.  Please contact me before you bid if you have any questions.  Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
