Buddy Holly ‘Buddy Holly Hits’ TRIPLE EP set (Australia MONO Coral XL-31,319—white-label test pressing, 1964)

On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original Australian-only triple EP set of BUDDY HOLLY & THE CRICKETS#, released in 1964.  The EP has attained legendary status, and ranks as one of the most collectable commercially released Buddy Holly record(s) in the world.

What makes this set far more desirable though, is the fact that it is a white-label test pressing.  This may be your ONLY opportunity to acquire this item, as only a handful of copies were ever made.

GRADING

Cover (also refer photos):

outside VG general shelf-wear—quite acceptable; some scuffing/minor creasing; tiny corner creases (front only); spot peeling on spine.

inside VG++@ glossy appearance; minor blemish (inside-front only); plastic inners (OK, all intact).

@The inside of the spine has come apart from a strip of cardboard holding the plastic inners in place.  Unfortunately, this is practically IMPOSSIBLE to avoid.  It can be easily repaired with STRONG adhesive.

Record 1:

G visual: glossy sheen—numerous surface scratches; groove-wear on middle of first track on each side;

audible: some background noise; light clicking in parts; definitely NO skips or jumps; labels: clean.

Record 2:

FAIR visual: glossy sheen—numerous surface scratches; heavy scuff-marks across both sides;

audible: some background noise; light clicking in parts, except side 2-track 2 (heavy clicking); definitely NO skips or jumps; labels: clean.

Record 3:

VG visual: glossy sheen—some minor scuffing (few light scratches);

audible: minor blemishes—quite acceptable overall; definitely NO skips or jumps; labels: clean.

G:       More obvious ring-wear, seam-splits, stains etc—defects will be noted.
