1959 Maroon Label Coral Records, CRL-57326
Near Mint is a grade that can get you in trouble with some buyers. So lets go through this slowly.
The jacket of this album has no seam splits and the printing on the top and side spine are intact and can still be read.
The top left hand cornor has a bit of a rounded edge.
The front of the jacket has very faint ring wear that can barely be seen.
The bottom of the front right hand cornor has a slight crease that you wouldnt notice if it didnt have a pressure imprint on it.
Back of jacket looks great as does the front as far as the white back ground goes. There is a small amount of yellowing or discoloration at the top right side back.
Now for the Record, The labels are bright and clean and probably didnt look much different when it was first opened.
The vinyl is so very glossy you would think that it had never been played, if you tilt it from side to side in the light you can see a very faint mark or two.
There is just a bit of back ground noise at the records start but it plays mostly silent. I should ad that this record also HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED so with a trip through a V.I.P machine those noises might just go away.
So you be the judge, what would you grade it at?
My opinion is that this is a super find and would fit into any higher dollar record collection.
