Description
I have been buying and selling records for over 30 years (had an antique booth, sold in a record store and sold on line, where I sold several thousand records), but am now downsizing and have sold all my 78 and 45 RPM records and a large share of the LPs in my collection. What I have left and am now starting to sell are the more rare records, mostly frist pressings, and in VG to NM condition.
I grade conservatively on the side of the buyer by Goldmine standards and all the remaining records I have are at least VG+ (VG++ compared to others I have bought on e-bay). I have not played this record recently, but it should play excellent. If it doesn't play to your satisfaction or you are not completely happy with my grading, please return it within 7 days for a refund. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY BEFORE BIDDING. I HAVE SCANNED ALL RECORDS IN ORDER TO SHOW ALL DETAILS. WE AIM TO PLEASE EVERYONE!
Record grades:
sealed:Original plastic seal still intact, so record is unplayed. Could refer to shrink-wrap on outer jacket, or to inner plastic sleeve some companies sealed.
mint: I consider sealed as this grade.
near mint: Close to new condition. Vinyl surface is shiny. Disc appears to have been rarely, if ever, played. No scratches or obvious marks.
vg++: (very good plus plus) Played, but well cared for. Vinyl surface is shiny. May show minor evidence of use (for example, a small mark here or there), but nothing that would upset most people who aren't mint fanatics.
vg+:(very good plus - also known as 'excellent') Disc may show a few scuffs or surface scratches, but nothing too serious. Disc may have begun to lose a little of its shine. Still in above-average condition and very enjoyable.
vg: (very good) - Have more obvious flaws, lack most of the original gloss, groove wear is evident, although they should sound good with possibly some surface noise but no scratching.
.
This is a 33 1/3 RPM rare first pressing (black label with silver print) LP record by Buddy Holly on Decca label number DL 8707 recorded in 1958 titled "That'll Be The Day". .

Record grade: VG: some shine left, quite a few light scratches (but no deep ones), no scuffs, has been played a lot but still quite nice.
