Buddy N' Shorty

Rare OZ LP released in 1962 on RCA Records. Cat. SL101899. This album sees Buddy singing songs from another classic OZ country Artist Shorty Ranger. Harold "Buddy" Williams ( 1918–1986 ) was an Australian country music singer and songwriter. He was the first Australian born to record country music in Australia, following 3 years after the New Zealand born Tex Morton had made his first recording session here in Australia. The music style was originally called Hillbilly Music but over the years the name changed to Country Music as we now refer to it as. The significance here is that Buddy Williams was an Australian born singer recording his own songs about life and times in the Australian bush written from first hand experience. It was here with Buddy Williams that the Bush Ballad was first born.

Record is in Excellent condition. Cover has a few light age spots and a sticker on the front of cover. Cover is in Excellent condition.
