The vinyl on this record is excellent, it is a sealed unopened vinyl record.   The cover is also excellent with good construction, corners, edges and gloss.  The cover has only the most minor of imperfections, a most marvelous package.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a Christmas television special produced in stop motion animation by Rankin/Bass. It first aired Sunday, December 6, 1964, on the NBC television network in the USA, and was sponsored by General Electric under the umbrella title of The General Electric Fantasy Hour. 

The special was based on the Johnny Marks song by the same name; the song taken from the 1939 poem of the same title written by Marks' brother-in-law, Robert L. May. Since 1972, the special has aired on CBS affilliate television stations with the network unveiling a high-definition, digitally remastered version of the program in 2005. As with A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Rudolph no longer airs just once annually, but several times during the Christmas and holiday season. It has been telecast every year since 1964, making it the longest running Christmas TV special, and one of only four 1960s Christmas specials still being telecast - the others being A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Frosty the Snowman.

Mint / New / Sealed - Never played .  Still in original sealed plastic.

Near Mint- Record itself looks new, appears to have never been played

VVG    (or NM-) Record itself looks new.  May have very superficial imperfections (light smudging, seen under light angle reflection) , not affecting the playing or sound of the record.

VG++ -  The record may show some slight signs of wear, light scuffs, light smudging, very light scratches, that do not affect listening experience. 

VG+   The record will show some slight signs of wear, light scuffs, very light scratches, that may affect the listening experience, especially at low volume times.  There will be no skips. 

VG    Will have obvious signs of wear, lack of original gloss.  Light scratches that will be audible.  Does not skip on my system.

Good - Will probably have scratches or defects that are audible.  Records may be warped.  There could be skipping and /or loud pops.    

All attempts will be made to list other imperfections of the cover such as liquid damage, split seams, tears. missing pieces or other damage in the description.
