Description

An original 1st press of PIGBOY on UK Elektra in Mono. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover fully laminated. An original plain inner too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slight marks per side. There is, also, one visibly more noticeable scuff at the start of side 2. But fully tested it is clearly a top level mark [surface level] as I'm struggling to make out hardly anything entering the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. In mono with a clean signal and a very enticing recording. For the vintage a really lovely rendition. Just a couple of minor ticks in 'Time' - that's about all I could detect. Great detail and acoustics. In mono I'd imagine this is about as good you could hope for in terms of a true and faithful presentation of the original work. Love it.
Cover (Ex-) Really nice clean surfaces without much sign of wear or creasing at all. Back only exhibits very slightest ageing at extremities - which is unusual. Spine fully intact with sharp openings. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine specimen.
Inner (Vg) No splits. Some writing and ageing.
