Description
One off opportunity to obtain a fully autographed copy of the original Spiral Scratch.
This was signed in Manchester back in the 70’s. I have owned this single since the early 80’s after an old friend of mine passed all his punk collection to me after finding reggae music!!!
My mate moved to the south coast from Manchester in around 1981 bringing this with him.
I believe this is signed by Diggle (top) Shelly (right) Maher (left) and Garvey (all over the place, but you can make out a G on the left of the record). I have no idea of the exact date this was signed, but it must have been 77 /78. It must have been signed in Manchester.
Condition of the sleeve it a little worn, and comes up a little more yellow than in the flash photo. The record itself also has quite a few hair marks, and I suspect this was played over and over again. I never played it as I had the re-issue, but I can confirm it plays without jumps (my mate tested it!!)
Like I say, this is a very rare opportunity to get you hands on not only the original Spiral Scratch, but also some original 70’s Buzzcocks line up scribbles on the sleeve as well. This makes this unique.
I was a big fan of the Buzzcocks as a kid, but my attentions then turned to The Fall. For this reason, I can just about bring myself to finally sell this.
