TELL ME I’M PRETTY
Tell Me I’m Pretty was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys & The Arcs (Lana Del Rey, Ray LaMontagne, The Black Keys, The Arcs). Singer Matt Shultz said, “Working with Dan was the perfect balance to our approach. The end result was…a great experience that really brought on a lot of growth.” The album was mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Adele, Florence + the Machine) and recorded at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, TN, near the band’s home town of Bowling Green, KY. Rolling Stone said, “Tell Me I’m Pretty reflects everything from psychedelic bubblegum pop to, not coincidentally, the spare tautness of the Black Keys.”
CAGE THE ELEPHANT
Cage the Elephant is the debut album by American rock band Cage the Elephant. The album was produced by Jay Joyce and released on June 23, 2008, in Europe through Relentless Records, and on March 24, 2009, in the United States through RCA/Jive Label Group. The album has been certified gold by the RIAA. The third single "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked", (from its original 2008 release) reached number 32 in the UK Singles Chart, and a later 2009 US release would reach number 3 on the Alternative Songs chart. Although it was their most successful and most popular single to date, it did not hit number 1 on the Alternative Songs chart like "In One Ear" and "Back Against the Wall," but it actually had more airplay on alternative rock radio stations than the other two and it was also the most played Cage the Elephant song on the radio. It would also be featured in numerous television spots, becoming one of their most popular singles ever.
THANK YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Thank You, Happy Birthday is the sophomore album from Cage The Elephant. Produced by Jay Joyce and recorded at Tragedy/Tragedy Studios in Nashville, TN, the album follows-up the band's critically acclaimed 2009 self-titled debut. This 13-song collection of raucous and inspired rock displays an expanded sound for the band and a bold reminder of exactly why they are one of the most loved groups in rock music today. Thank You, Happy Birthday reached Number Two on the album charts.
MELOPHOBIA
Cage The Elephant’s their third studio album Melophobia, (meaning the hatred or fear of music), is a 10-song set that was recorded in Nashville, TN and reunited the band with producer Jay Joyce who produced the group’s prior two releases. Melophobia is the follow up to 2011’s acclaimed sophomore album Thank You Happy Birthday. Melophobia took the band to new heights, spinning off two Number One singles on the Alternative charts, “Come a Little Closer” and “Cigarette Daydreams.” With Melophobia, the members all agree, that the band truly came into its own.
