Here we have a double l.p. From the mighty Can. On the virgin label from 1976.

This is fantastic couple of records. Condition wise both of the records contained on all sides are mint in appearance & play. A very BIG positive for this item. Very rare to find these knowadays with both records in such an equal condition. Very impressive & hardly been played no plays (zero) in over 35 years. Been in storage for years. so these are pretty much pristine out of 100% for both records and all sides 95%

The "Caroline" virgin labels are as great as you can wish for about 98% correct for all sides. There are no handwritten names or...Damp,fade,wear,rip,tear. If you did see anything it would be miniscule & under extra bright light. Perhaps the odd tiny spindle mark, but very light & almost not worth mentioning. critical on my part really. These are great examples. As I say the records have hardly been played at all in the near four decade life. I've scrutinised the records & labels to make sure, visually and audio wise they are as I state in this description (as always) I take time to properly list. Please see the close up photographs below for a reference to all.

Those are the positives to the item.

The cover is out of 100% i would say 85% correct. An intact spine with no splitting. But a good bit of wear. Front right has a little rip. And as yoiu will see in these photographs PLEASE NOTE : there is a (tear) at the bottom right hand corner. This is not as bad as it sounds, and to avoid any other further issues, the record and contents are stored in a hard plastic cover for extra protection. This would be the only major issue to list, the tear is only an overlapping one, and the rest of the cover remains intact. No damp or stain, no ringwear or handwritten names. This occured only due to the fact that this is nearly 40 years old!!! and the records are quite heavy to be placed inside the cover. A gatefolded version would possibly have been a better design on reflection....But hey its still here & ready for a new home in near perfect condition.

The records are the main positive & not to be missed,very crisp & clear. Rare recordings from the groups (CAN) own studio. These would have been rejected by most of the big major labels, but thankfully the band had creative control over thier own material, and they liked these tracks enough to justify a press!!! They recorded lots of tracks, and put them to tape. These are just some of the bands spontanious performances. A very RARE record now & even then, after a few years this was a very difficult release to obtain. This is from 1976 not a re-press 100% ORIG VIRGIN RELEASE

Both original dust inners are contained and are in excellent condition. Photographs of all are available at the side & also below.....

Record will be packed in a tough custom box DEFENDAPACK mailer as shown in the photos below. The mailer has a locking tab. The record will be placed outside the cover inside a polythene protector between two card stiffeners and sealed at the top with fragile marked masking tape.

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
