Description

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART and the MAGIC BAND - "Clear Spot" LP
UK 1973 ORIGINAL VINYL ALBUM on REPRISE Records K 54007 (A1/B1 Matrix - 1st PRESSING - Deep Grove/Reprise Tan Riverboat Label)
Outer Plastic Sleeve is in Superlative condition except for the plastic strip beneath the flap - it has a crease in it - otherwise I'd declare it NEAR MINT which is bloody rare! Crucially the outer plastic isn't ripped or discoloured and the white card insert is extraordinarily crisp - NEAR MINT (which is something I've rarely seen).  The LP shows spindle wear but was put in a polylined plastic bag for protection from the outset (as was the sleeve) and has stood it in good stead. It is easily EX +. Not quite NEAR MINT but close.
Collectors will know that this is one of the most difficult albums to get in anything like NEAR MINT primarily because of the sleeve and how the LP was stored.
Lovely copy of a classic album and very hard to find in this condition...

The album (like all of mine) has been professionally washed and dried on the LORICRAFT AUDIO PR6 cleaning machine (pictured).

It's then placed in a new Poly-lined inner bag (with the original bag retained if there is one).?

All my LPs are sent in proper 12" mailers with two stiffeners and the outer sleeve is in a HEAVY GAUGE PLASTIC (with inners/LP separated to avoid ring-wear and seam splits).
