Description

  • Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band is a vastly under appreciated part of music history. Beefheart (Don Van Vliet) collaborated with Frank Zappa in Southern California in the early 1960's before forming his own group. This record represents their first recordings in 1965 for A&M Records which disappeared into the vault until the label issued it in 1985 as "The Legendary A&M Sessions." It was produced by Bread's David Gates.

  • This copy of (SP-12510) is from the First Pressing and is extremely Rare. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is in Near-Mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc looks great and Test Plays cleanly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at A&M Mastering Studios in Hollywood and this copy was pressed in 1985 at the A&M Records Of Canada plant in Scarborough, Ontario. The Side One dead wax is etched SP-12510-A (2) TLC and stamped (CR).

  • This album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Inner Sleeve and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
