Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of a 1984 EP comp of the first recordings by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band. Cut for the A&M label (as the EP's title makes clear), the tracks here were released as two singles in 1966, "Diddy Wah Diddy" and "Moonchild," while a fifth song, "Here I Am, I Always Am," remained unreleased at the time. The A&M version of the group was a punky R&B/rock ensemble; in another year, they would blossom into the arty punks of Safe as Milk. The jacket has some creasing along the top seam on the front cover, and is otherwise close to pristine (EX+). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with minimal surface noise -- a strong M-.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
