THIS IS THE 1973 US PRESSING on CAPRICORN label (Manufactured by WB). Gatefold cover. The cover is in VG+ condition, normal wear BUT light discolouration/wear on corners, surface ringwear, left spine is fully readable; INSIDE PANELS in great condition for details see photos. The vinyl is in EX condition, and plays wonderfully and without lessening in sound quality.

CAPTAIN BEYOND
Hard rock supergroup of the '70s comprising former members of Deep Purple, Johnny Winter's band, and Iron Butterfly. Captain Beyond was a rock group formed in Los Angeles in 1972 by ex-members of other prominent groups. Singer Rod Evans had been with Deep Purple; drummer Bobby Caldwell had worked with Johnny Winter; and guitarist Larry Rheinhart and Lee Dorman had been in Iron Butterfly. This lineup made their self-titled debut album for the Southern rock label Capricorn in 1972, after which Caldwell was replaced by Marty Rodriguez for their second album, Sufficiently Breathless (1973).

Substituting the mega-heavy vibe for an even more progressive approach, Sufficiently Breahtless is a timeless treasure of spacey hard rock. "Bright Blue Tango", "Drifting In Space" and "Evil Men" are the highlights of this epic, landmark album. With original Deep Purple vocalist, Rod Evans, guitar wizard Rhino and bass player and genius songwriter, Lee Dorman, Captain Beyond clearly established themselves as one of the monster heavy acts of the early 70's.
