Description
A very nice copy of Caravan's iconic 1970 album "If I Could Do It All Over Again, I'd Do It All Over You".
This has the small blue boxed Decca labels - "Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound" and the date under the band's name (pictured). It displays the ZAL-9752.P-2W/4W matrix.
The album is by no means mint but plays extremely well. I would grade the vinyl as VG+, showing signs of use and faint hairlines and slight scuffs visible under strong light. Happily there is nothing deep. Under stringent play testing some faint static crackle can sometimes be detected in the quietest moments although usually even the track gaps stay silent. Certainly there are no sticks or jumps and I only detected two instances of repetitive ticks (both faint), one lasting only 4 revolutions, the other lasting about 10. There is the occasional pop as you would expect but overall the sound is quite astonishing for a record of 44 years. It has obviously been well-played but also well-looked after.
The sleeve grades EX being bright, clean and unmarked with a very clear and well-defined spine. Maybe just a hint of shelfwear to the back cover. The inner sleeve is clean white generic.
Overall I would say this a very respectable copy and much better than many I have seen and heard.
A word on postage - the cheapest I would send it would be First Class (Signed For) (£4.90) and would prefer Recorded Delivery (£7.90). However it is for the buyer to choose.
At the moment I regret that I am only posting to the UK and just Paypal please.
Many thanks for looking!
For your information the gradings I use are as follows:-
Mint (M) - Brand New (Sealed)
Near mint (NM) - Looks almost unplayed * Cover almost brand new
Excellent (EX) - Maybe a light scuff but otherwise great condition * Cover will have some wear/slight crease/faint ring wear etc
Very good (VG) - Could have scuffing and some light scratches etc *Cover might have some creasing/fading/ring wear/marks or writing but still reasonable condition
Good (G) - Should play through ok but will have plenty of scratches etc * Cover could be ripped/stained/unglued etc
Fair - Very ordinary/ Might play but most likely just for the collection* Cover will be pretty terrible.
+, ++ or - (minus) after the grading denote variations within a grade.
